A Real Fine Place to Start: Show Us Your Singles

So, when I saw that Kelly was doing her Show Us Your Life: Singles day again, I knew there were two gals that I needed to sign up! (I actually told them I was going to "pimp them out," but you get the idea...) I have known these girls for a little over 3 years, and we met while working at a newspaper in Outside Ad Sales. Two of us still live in Austin, but the other has moved up the road a bit to North Texas. They have been BFF's since they were sorority sisters in college and they are two of the funniest people I have ever known!

So, without further ado... Here are Lauren and Sarah!

This is Lauren!

Lauren grew up in a small town outside of Austin in the Hill Country. She is 29 years old and attended Texas Tech University, majoring in Human Development & Family Studies and Mass Communications. She loves Lubbock and Texas Tech football.

Her family is pretty much the most important thing to her, second only to her relationship with the Lord. She is strong in her faith, but that doesn't mean she's boring! Lauren can still be a very, very silly person! You simply can't keep from laughing when you are around her - she is SO funny!

The girl loves Christmas and can often be found listening to Christmas music in the middle of the summer! She is a great friend, who cares for those around her and is the first to offer to help with anything that needs to be done. She is honest and loyal and dependable.

Lauren loves musicals and dancing (any kind), movies and wine. She is looking for a man to have a "real" conversation with, not just surface level stuff. The man who wins her heart will be strong in his faith, intelligent, kind and generous. He will put others first and be a good friend. And above all, he will love her just as she is! (Which I think is a REAL CATCH!)

Lauren loves to go to concerts and go out with friends, as much as she likes to stay home and make dinner and watch movies. Lauren also loves to travel and has been on LOTS of really cool trips. Hawaii, Napa, and Salt Lake City are some of the places she's been recently!

And, this is Sarah!

Sarah also grew up in the Hill Country, near San Antonio. She is 29 years old and went to Texas Tech and got her both her undergrad and Masters in Communication Studies. She lives in North Texas and works in Sales. She also teaches classes at the community college in the evenings.

According to Sarah, "There is nothing more important to me than taking pride in my testimony, sharing God's grace and sharing his joy with other people. God is truly good-all the time!"

This girl never stops moving! She is a go-getter, with an infectious personality. Her wit is quicker than anyone I have ever known, and with her smarts, she can put almost anyone in their place with a joke. I have laughed until I cried with Sarah more times than I can count!

A fun loving person, Sarah is also caring and self-less in helping out her friends. No one doesn't like this girl!

Sarah loves watching baseball and football, listening to Texas country music (especially live!), going dancing (any kind), and cooking. She especially loves "Southern Living, being outside, when celebrities look like real people, running in the rain, Fall, Skiing (and no I am not good), my first cup of coffee in the morning, A good pair of worn in jeans or boots, Brunch, People that understand the importance of not taking themselves too seriously, putting on lotion 17 times a day, striking up random convos with strangers, telling people I'm from Texas and two stepping."

A beauty inside and out, Sarah is a sweet, southern girl who is just looking to be swept off her feet. The ideal man for Sarah would love Jesus, be a gentleman, love sports and be a great friend.
